What we're doing about COVID-19

Fostering a safe and happy community is at the heart of what we do. That’s why we’ve put the health and wellbeing of our residents, staff and visitors at the forefront of our response to the current coronavirus situation. Following the advice of health authorities and government, we have reopened our buildings for viewings and lettings but have put measures in place to protect everyone, which include:

  • Virtual viewings in the first instance
  • Protective screens at the reception desks
  • Social distancing signage
  • A limit of one household at a time using a lift
  • Hand sanitiser in multiple locations
  • Our on-site team will also be wearing masks and gloves where required when dealing with contractors and the general public.

We will continue to adapt our service to meet government guidelines. Thank you to everyone who has taken care to follow the measures we’ve put in place so far. Please continue to observe the new signs and instructions so that we can continue to reduce the spread of coronavirus and keep our community as safe as possible. What pets am I allowed?

Our flats are pet friendly in the Quartz building however in the Graphite building pets are not allowed. We do have a few restrictions on what type, sizes and breeds can stay with us. As a general guide, small pets are ok, but medium and large ones may not be. Your rent will be slightly higher with each pet, this is to cover cleaning and general wear and tear, so if you’d like to have two pets in your apartment, this will be a higher rent than just a single pet.

Is there car parking?

Yes, there are limited parking spaces available for residents on site for an additional monthly charge, however we also have great deals with the NCP car park across the road.

Do the apartments have windows you can open?

Yes – you can open all windows

When will I be able to move in?

As soon as you have successfully completed your referencing we can agree a move in date that suits.

How do I book a viewing?

You can contact our resident services team on 0161 672 5755 or get in touch on the contact us page. We have a range of amazing apartments that suit all needs. Our team will help you find your perfect home and talk you through the whole process.

Do the apartments come furnished?

Our apartments can come with a bespoke furniture collection included in your rental agreement at no extra cost! We’ve thought of every detail – from the sustainable sofa fabric, to the king-sized sumptuous beds in every bedroom – every piece has been crafted with our new residents in mind. Or you can choose an unfurnished apartment where you can bring your own furniture if you prefer. The choice is yours.

Is WiFi included?

Free high speed virgin broadband comes set up and free in every apartment, wiring is also in place for BT, Hyperoptic broadband and SKY TV.

Is there a residents’ lounge?

Yes, our residents lounge is located on the ground floor and has free unlimited coffee, super-fast Wifi so it’s great for catching up on work, entertaining friends or just to chill out.

Will there be resident events?

Yes, we will provide regular resident events from wine and cheese tasting, quiz nights and summer BBQs to book clubs and Yoga we have something for everyone. Our ultimate aim is to ensure you to feel part of our community - pick and choose the events you want to come to.

What other services will you offer?

We are continuously looking at how to enrich our residents experience at The Slate Yard, from internal services such as our own in hours Maintenance Technician who is available to help with any odd jobs you may have. We are always looking at local businesses to support our needs from pet sitters/walkers to dry cleaners.

Will there be 24-hour concierge?

There will be someone on site 24/7 so we’re here whenever you need us - helping arrange everything from deliveries to residents' events as well as coordinating maintenance and repairs.

Is there a gym?

Yes! The Slate Yard benefits from an amazing on site gym which is free to use for all residents, saving you time, money and giving you no excuses not to go! Our resident PT instructors hold regular boot camps for a small charge.

Is there cycle storage?

There is secure onsite cycle storage which is free for all residents on a first come first served basis.

Will the amenities space be open to the public?

The amenity space within The Slate Yard is for residents’ only, however if you want to bring friends over that’s OK.
